As a ministry of The First Congregational Church of Verona, United Church of Christ, we are an Open and Affirming community. We take heart in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and honor the principle that discrimination of any kind is incompatible with Christ’s unconditional love.
We believe that every person has worth as a unique creation made in the image of God. We therefore welcome into the life of our church all persons, including but not limited to those of every race, culture, age, gender, socio-economic status, physical or mental ability, marital status, faith, sexual orientation, and gender identity and expression.
We celebrate and give thanks for the diversity in which God created and loves us. We welcome all to share in the ministry and companionship, worship and sacraments, leadership, responsibilities and blessings of participation in our congregation.
